Today in class we talked about el dia de los muertos (the Day of the Dead) and its cultural significance in Mexico and Latin America communities in the US.
Students then spent time decorating calaveras, or skulls. The calavera is a very important symbol for the Day of the Dead, and there are many skulls present both in decoration and in the form of sugar skulls. Hopefully these calaveras can be added to your Halloween decorations.
