7-1 and 7-2: Today we took notes on the verb Gustar.
Notes:
Gustar- To be pleasing
--We use the verb gustar to talk about what we like (what pleases us.)
--Gustar is a reflexive verb. This means that it is used to talk about how a person is affected by another thing. In this case, the person you are talking about isn't the one doing the action, but the one the action affects.
--We need to use indirect object pronouns in conjunction with reflexive verbs.
Indirect Object Pronouns
Me - (to) me Nos - (to) us
Te - (to) you (informal you) Vos - (to) you guys (informal you)
Le - (to) you (formal you)/him/her Les - (to) you (formal you)/them
--To talk about a verb that someone likes, use
--> Indirect object pronoun + gusta + infinitive verb
(verb ending in ar/er/ir)
ex: Me gusta ir a la playa
Nos gusta baila r
Les gusta leer
