Hola padres!
Today in class we practiced again with "¿Cómo te llamas?" and "Me llamo..." Every student recognized the question and knew what it meant, and most were able to answer me fully in Spanish with little prodding.
We then practiced counting from 1-10 in Spanish, and then practiced counting backwards from 10-1. Students were given a spelling sheet to help them spell the Spanish words for numbers 1-10, which should be in their folders.
After the spelling sheets were completed, we played a game to reinforce what the number words actually mean, rather than just memorizing the order in which they are counted. Students were able to put the digit to the Spanish word for every number, and many were also able to find the Spanish word for the number when it was given in English.
I was very happy with their effort, and look forward to next week!
