6-1: Today we started new material from the book.
Notes:
Tú vs. Usted
In Spanish, there are two ways to say “you.” However, you must decide which one to use based on who you are speaking to.
Tú
Tú is used when speaking to family and friends. It is also used for speaking to people who are younger than you.
Examples: your best friend, your brother, your mom, your grandfather, your pet.
Usted
Usted is used to show respect. It is used when speaking to people that are older than you, people that you don’t know well, and authority figures.
Examples: acquaintances, your teacher, your boss
CW: Page 5, Actividad 4 (Act 4 is a listening activity, and can not be made up on your own. See me to make it up.)
HW: Page 5, Actividad 6 (follow the instructions in the book)
