6-2: Today we started looking at the Spanish number words and started taking notes on telling time. We will finish these notes next class, so remember your notebook!
Notes:
Telling time (using the numbers 1-59)
When telling time in Spanish, start with the phrase “it is”
-For 1-1:45, begin with “es la”
-For any other time, begin with “son las”
After “it is” comes the hour.
-Es la una
It’s 1 o’clock
-Son las dos…tres...cuatro…
It’s 2…3...4…
After the hour comes the minutes. For most times before _ _:44, simply state “It is (hour) and (minutes)
-Es la una y cinco
It’s 1:05
-Son las cinco y diez
It’s 5:10
